Sternman Productions produced ISLANDER (2006) directed by Ian McCrudden and starring Philip Baker Hall, Amy Jo Johnson , Larry Pine and Thomas Hildreth. ISLANDER played theatrically in major US markets including Los Angeles, Seattle, Boston and Washington D.C. garnering critical praise throughout. ISLANDER premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival and played several film festivals across the country. Recently ISLANDER played extensively on SHOWTIME channels for several months last fall. The film is distributed by Indican Pictures in Santa Monica CA.
Sternman Productions produced the world premiere of the play LIGHTS UP ON THE FADE OUT by Padraic Lillis for the 2012 Los Angeles Fringe Festival as well as the world premiere of The Invested by Sharyn Rothstein at the Fourth St. Theatre in New York.
CHILD OF GRACE is the third collaboration between Mr. Hildreth and Ian McCrudden and the second as producer/director. The award-winning feature film stars Emma Myles (ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK), Ted Levine (THE BRIDGE), James Parks (Tarantino's THE HATEFUL EIGHT), Maggie Elizabeth Jones (WE BOUGHT A ZOO), and Thomas Hildreth. CHILD OF GRACE had its worldwide TV premiere in September 2015 on Lifetime Movie Network and continues to air primetime on LMN. The film is currently in distribution worldwide by Mission Pictures International and is now available on iTunes, Google Play, and Amazon.
Hildreth and Sternman Productions are currently in development for the feature film THE INVESTED, based on the stage play by Sharyn Rothstein, as well as the new play, DINOSAURS by Dominic Hoffman, scheduled to premiere in New York City in 2015.
As an actor Hildreth played the lead role in ISLANDER to critical praise and MR. SMITH GETS A HUSTLER also directed by Mr. McCrudden playing the contract killer Jack, opposite Larry Pine. He also played Mr. Wood in PAWN TO A KING opposite Ron Canada and HERE DIES ANOTHER DAY starring John Randolph.
Numerous television appearances include 24, NUMBERS, DHARMA & GREG, and several daytime dramas.
On stage Hildreth starred in LIGHTS UP ON THE FADE OUT and THE INVESTED, where he played the ruthless CEO Bill Enoch opposite Christina Haag. Thomas was directed by Michael Greif in THE CAUCASIAN CHALK CIRCLE, appeared in Mac Wellman’s SINCERITY FOREVER (world premiere) at The Berkshire Theatre Festival, THE AMERICAN CLOCK by Arthur Miller (world premiere) directed by Austin Pendleton at The Williamstown Theatre Festival, John Guare’s MOON OVER MIAMI (world premiere) opposite Nathan Lane, WIDOWS by Ariel Dorfman (world premiere) and THE DEVILS DISCIPLE opposite Richard Thomas and Patricia Clarkson. Hildreth starred in the revival of Jean Paul Sartre’s THE RESPECTFUL PROSTITUTE at HERE in NY.
As a member of The Classical Theatre Lab in LA, Hildreth appeared in JOAN OF ARC directed by Ron Maxwell, as well as productions of HAMLET, OTHELLO, MEASURE FOR MEASURE, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, THE ILIAD, THE TEMPEST, CYMBELINE and THE IDEAL HUSBAND.
Thomas attended Connecticut College, New York University, and received an MFA from Rutgers University. He lives in Los Angeles and New York with his wife and three small children.
